Pitch Factor They used to share a studio room with Thick. They've got a punk/heavy metal mix. I tend to be more critical of people I know, but given that: They're good and have got some variety but I think they need a little more. Regardless, they're music is head banging stuff. Bring earplugs - they're loud! They moved to San Diego and I haven't heard of them since. - 7/99
    The Pharmacy
    Phreeworld Rock
Plank Hard - surf rock. They're fine, as far as surf music is concerned. I've seen them a few times and I don't feel like leaving the room when they're on - so that's good. Maybe it's because the drummer uses a double kick, which gives them more backbone than most surf rock bands.
Plastic Joe Good, hard, dark rock.  They Kinda' have a 'Tool' ness - but less so lately.  This band is solid, regardless.  They're broken up, but they might get back together. - 7/99
The Pleasure Elite Somewhere near metal, but a little industrial. Then again, I think the two are kinda' merging these days. There's allot of dancing at this show. The vocalist is a disgusting slob (he likes to BA the audience), and the show I saw - they had a virtual circus on stage. As far as shows go - it was interesting. Their music is hard, but I can only remember thinking that one song was worth remembering. Everything else blended together. I wouldn't avoid them, but they're not my favorite hard band.

    Posies

    Poxy
Praying Mantis Psychedelic grunge pop, and I like it. I wasn't totally into the vocals, but the guitarist (vocalist also) does some really neat stuff with the guitar. I think doing a great service taking grunge somewhere interesting. (I wasn't every really into grunge - if you can guess)
The Presidents of the United States of America They used to drive me nuts with their silly little songs, but now I kinda' think of them as a change from the depressing "GenX" thing.  They have broken up.
