I have to say that these girls rock pretty
hard! They're on the hard rock side of punk. |

Huh? Spitting fire, long hair, hard rock...
I feel like I'm back in the early eighties. |

| Shovel jerk |
Music at a good, fast moving, pace. I'd see
them again, though I wouldn't buy the CD - they're a good
time. |
|
Sick&Wrong |
Kinda' punky rock, and I like it. If you're
not hung up on women who wear strap on dildos, then maybe
you'll stop staring and listen to the music. I'd accuse them
of using a gimmick, but after the show you'll agree that
they're just a fun time any way you look at it. |

I think these guys are pretty damn good. I
saw them at the Colourbox on a Monday and thought they
rocked. They sometimes looked a little awkward on stage, and
they're not youngsters... but who cares? Dark rock, good
melodies, good vocals. I'd most certainly see them again. |
|
Sky Cries Mary |
I saw them at "Bumbershoot". They don't
sound anything like the Dead, but they kinda' remind me of
them. Maybe it's their attitudes. Maybe it's all the dope
that was being past around. |
| Slow Gas Heater |
Saw them at the Showbox. I was just about
drunk when they got on. They're kinda' STP like. The
vocalist uses an extra mike for effects. I wasn't impressed
with the entire show (my roommate liked them allot), but I
did think the first and last songs were rockin' (most of
their set was a bit softer). I'd see them again. They've got
potential. |

Their fast paced music is good but lacks
variety (like most every other band out there). However, I'm
impressed with their stage presence. |

Soilent Green (2) |
Their sound kinda' reminds me of one of my
first punk bands... though I think this kid is a better
singer than I was then. |

I'm beginning to like these guys again. They
used to play a straight pop set, which became boring. But
now they're becoming a little more alternative and are
mixing it up as well. I recommend them. If you've watched
them for as long as I have - see them again: They're
becoming much more "real". |

Spin Betty Girl |
They used to rehearse across the hallway
from Thick.
They're not bad (the two girls in the band sing and play
guitar). They lack variety and need a little more stage
presence (the taller girl had attitude, which goes a long
way). However, I liked their beat driven style and am
interested to see where they take themselves. Ok, so two
years later - they're hanging it up... |
| Spring In Warsaw |
Rock. Their .au file seem good. However, the
song needs a little more punch (turn up the EQ at '1k') on
the vocals and drums. |

Rock. They played before
Thick at the
Colourbox. They are very good - I wasn't disappointed. I'd
see them again, especially since I wasn't feeling well that
day and didn't really get a chance to get into it. |
| Suction |
Even when these guys screw up - they're
better than most. The last time I saw them, their show was
sloppy, but they rocked - regardless. I believe that they
consider themselves "hard pop", but I think they're much too
dark, and much to hard to be pop. They may or not be broken
up. They put on their last show, but now I understand it
may not be their last. |

Alternative / hard pop rock. I Saw them at

I don't like them. They play hard rock, but
it just sounded like noise to me at the China Club a year
ago, though it could have been the venue's fault. Anyway,
they've broken up |

grunge bluegrass. Saw them on cable 29 - All
