L.J. Porter    Three time winner of the Washington Blues Association’s “ Best Female Vocalist “ award, and recognized by the Northwest Music Association for “ Best R&B Recording and Best R&B Group,” Louisiana native L.J. Porter began her illustrious singing career at the age of three, belting out Gospel songs in the choir of her grandfather’s church. A move two years later gave L.J., a new home for her voice in the Gospel choirs, school musicals, local events and eventually Cornish Music Institute in Seattle, Washington.    
While Performing with Seattle Women of R&B, Detroit Women of R&B, and Northwest Women Rhythm and Blues, National attention came when L.J. served as the inspiration for the “ Pointer “ character in the novel and Lifetime cable network made-for-TV movie We Are Not Good Girls.
